Neste dia saímos de manhã para o nosso último passeio pela cidade. Passeamos pelas ruas já sentir saudades das férias estavam a acabar.

Começamos o dia com visitas à Trump Tower, Tiffany & CO, e Loja Disney. De seguida fomos conhecer Chelsea Piers, antigas docas abandonadas convertidas em marinas com ginásios, campos de jogos, golf e bares. Dali seguimos a pé até ao Meat Packing District, antiga zona onde se descarregava a carne para abastecer a cidade, hoje os armazéns estão a ser convertidos em lojas e centros comerciais.
Neste dia jantamos pela última vez em New York City.
"We start the day with visits to the Trump Tower, Tiffany & CO and Disney Store. After that we went to Chelsea Piers, old docks that are now restored to the city. From there we walk to the Meat Packing District, another restored area.
On this day we had our lasr dinner in NYC."

De manhã visitamos o mercado em ChinaTown. À tarde fomos passear para Central Park, mas só conseguimos ver metade do parque.
Jantámos no Hard Rock Café.
"In the morning we went to see the market in Chinatown. The afternoon was to visit Central Park.
We had dinner at HRC."

Hoje fomos às compras, no Macy’s, uma "pequena" loja em que só demoramos uma manhã para ver quase toda a loja.
A tarde foi passada em Duffy Square na bicha para comprar bilhetes para ver um musical.
À noite fomos ver a peça “Sweet Charity” com a Christina Applegate.
"Today we went shoping at Macy's a "small" shop in wich we spend all morning and couldn't see it all.
The afternoon was spent in Duffy Square trying to the tickets for a musical. At night we went to see "Sweet Charity" a musical with Christina Applegate."

Logo de manhã fomos para o Guggenheim mas tivemos um bocado falta de sorte pois estavam a mudar as exposições, por isso praticamente só visitamos o edifício. A próxima paragem foi nas Nações Unidas onde efectuamos uma visita guiada. Ao sairmos do edifício deparamos com uma movimentação aparatosa de helicópteros no ar, ambulâncias, policia e equipas de reportagem na avenida junto ao rio. Tinha caído um helicóptero ao rio.
Saímos da confusão para irmos visitar o Empire State Building, de onde tínhamos uma vista fenomenal sobre NYC.
"First thing in the morning we went to the Guggenheim, but we had little luck because they were changing exhibitions so all saw was the building and the permanent exhibitions.
Next stop: United Nations where we had a guided tour. And when we came out there was a big confusion outside nexto to the river with police, ambulances, tv reporters... A helicopter had crashed into the river.
We left the place and went to the top of the Empire State Building experience the magnificent view of NYC."

MOMA The Museum of Modern Art, aqui ficamos até o museu fechar.
Seguiu-se a visita a St. Patrick, talvez a igreja católica mais famosa de NYC.
"MOMA The Museum of Modern Art, we stayed here until closing time. Then we went to visit St. Patricks Cathedral, maybe the more famous catholic church in NYC."

Regresso a New York City. Esta viagem foi mais aborrecida pois como o autocarro partiu como mais de meia hora de atraso, o motorista enfiou-se na auto-estrada e só parou em NYC.
"Return to NYC. This trip was boring because when we left washington DC we were half an hour late, so the driver made no stops until we got to NYC."

Dia de visitar o Capitólio. Por isso, lá fomos nós atrás dos bilhetes, mas só conseguimos entradas para as 11h10m, o que nos deu tempo de ir visitar o museu do Índio Americano. Depois do Capitólio foi a vez da Biblioteca do Congresso.
Depois de almoçar seguiu-se a visita ao museu da História Americana e para acabar o dia fomos ao “US National Archives” ver os documentos originais da declaração de independência da EUA, da Constituição dos EUA, e a carta dos direitos.
"Capitol's day, so there we went after the tickets, but the ones we got were for 11h10m, wich gave us time to visit the National Museum of the American Indian. After the Capitol we visit the Library of Congress.
After lunch we went to the National Museum of American History and by the end of the day we went to see the Declaration of Indepedence, The Constitution of the US and the Bill of Rights in the US National Archives."

Hoje o dia começou com a visita à Casa Branca, só a vimos do lado fora, claro!!!... Passamos pelo obelisco, pelo memorial à 2ª Grande Guerra e caminhamos ao looooongo do espelho de água até chegarmos ao Lincoln Memorial. A manhã acabou com a visita ao memorial aos soldados mortos e desaparecidos na guerra do Vietnam.
A caminho do metro passamos pela estátua do Einstein e por algumas “Fraternity Houses”.
A tarde foi passada no museu do ar e do espaço, que alberga vários aparelhos usados na conquista do ar e do espaço. No final da tarde fomos até ao jardim das esculturas.
"Today we went to see the WhiteHouse (from the outside). We walk by the Obelisc, the WW2 memorial and took a looooong walk to the Lincoln Memorial. The morning ended with the visit to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.
On our way to the subway we pass by the Einstein Statue and some Fraternity Houses (The George Washington University was near by).
We spent the afternoon at the National Air and Space Museum and by the end of the day we went to see the Sculpture Garden."

De manhã apanhamos o autocarro para Washington DC onde chegámos por volta das 16 horas.
Fomos jantar ao Hard Rock Café e ao lá chegarmos deparamos com uma festa de arromba para gente importante no edifício ao lado do HRC, o Ford Theatre. Como é que eu sei que era gente importante? Porque havia seguranças por todo o lado e quando nos vínhamos embora ainda vi a Srª Laura Bush a acenar à multidão do carro em que estava e que arrancava a toda a velocidade.
"In the morning we took the bus to Washington DC, where we arrived at 4 p.m..
We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and when we get there, there was a big event in the Ford Theatre wich is next to the HRC. There were lots of important people. When we leave i even saw Mrs. Bush waving to the people from inside the car."
